Doctor group opposes Portlaoise ‘downgrading’

Some 69 doctors, comprising members of the Hospital Board of Midlands Regional Hospital at Portlaoise, the Laois Faculty of the ICGP and MIDOC, have set out their shared vision of the future for services for the hospital, which opposes the HSE’s proposal to remove acute services, which the medics claim would be a return to “past mistakes”.
