GPs now urgently need to stand up and be counted

Dear Sir, As a Chartered Accountant and the spouse of a GP, my impression of how GPs are represented is that it is wholly inadequate — or perhaps I am understating the position. After a furore about over-70s and its reform, GPs are now being forced into an arrangement on under-sixes medical cards on exactly the same basis as the irrational over-70s medical card scheme, albeit at much reduced rates and for many, uneconomical rates.
