Special intervention plan conducted at EDs

A special intervention plan including site visits, specialty and procedure reviews, clearance plans, targeted spending of a national intervention fund and intensive performance management was scheduled for a number of Emergency Departments (EDs) during May and June, it has emerged. These sites – which have experienced severe pressures – included the Mater, University College Hospital Galway, Beaumont, CUH, Limerick Regional, and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
