Secure clinical email for medical practitioners is currently undergoing testing and is envisaged to go live in October, IMT reports. The HSE issued a tender for the provision of a private and secure email system to the health service, with GPs and their support staff earmarked to be the first group to receive the service, last September. It is intended to eventually cover all health service providers that do not have a ‘@hse.ie’ or a voluntary hospital email account, IMT understands.
