PCC site talks ‘at advanced stage’

By Gary Culliton. Negotiations are at an advanced stage regarding the purchase of a standalone greenfield site for a primary care centre (PCC) in Ballymote town. The project will involve the building of a modern, purpose-built PCC, which will provide accommodation for members of the East Sligo Primary Care Team, including GPs, public health nurses, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, chiropody and dental healthcare facilities. Multi-disciplinary bookable clinic rooms for visiting professionals including dieticians, speech and language therapists, psychologists and community mental health services will also be available in the centre.
