By Gary Culliton. The total spent to date on the proposed National Paediatric Hospital amounts to €40.3 million, including €6.8 million in VAT. The figure covers spending from May 2007, when the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) was established. The work of the NPHDB was discharged mainly under three core contracts, which were fixed-price contracts. The Business Services Team cost €20.3 million, the Project Management Services Team cost €2.6 million, while the Integrated Design Team cost €5.1 million.
