NAGP calls for primary care programmes in Budget

The NAGP has called on the Government in its pre-Budget 2015 submission to set up a specific ‘transfer to primary care’ programme addressing the moving of hospital services into the community and to implement a targeted investment programme in the sector. According to the Association, this ‘transfer’ programme should outline the exact clinical services to be shifted to primary care; the clinical and financial rationale for the moves; and the locations in the country where they will take place, among other issues.
