HSE is facing €510m deficit

Net HSE expenditure in the year to September was €9.049 billion, against the available budget reported at €8.688 billion, leading to a reported deficit of €361 million. The revenue deficit for this year is now estimated at €510 million and the supplementary estimate for 2014 will need to encompass this deficit as well as an expected over-run on costs incurred by the State Claims Agency.
