HSE chief ‘didn’t request top-up’ – DoH

The Department of Health has stated that HSE Director General Tony O’Brien “did not request” a top-up payment during negotiations with Hawkins House prior to taking up his role as head of the Executive. The role of Director General was a “new appointment with new terms and conditions and the agreed salary reflected this”, said the spokesperson.
