FEMPI cuts total €10m a month

The cumulative effect of the reduction in GP fees and allowances since the introduction of FEMPI legislation is now some €121 million per annum — or €10 million a month.  However, savings from last year’s FEMPI GP fee cuts have fallen short of projections. Following cuts from two FEMPI regulations introduced in 2013, there was an overall reduction of 7.5 per cent in fees and allowances payable to GPs.
