CA remarks on GP strike ‘inflammatory’ – NAGP

The NAGP has hit out at what it has described as “inflammatory” remarks by the Chairperson of the Competition Authority suggesting that GPs could threaten a mass withdrawal of services. Isolde Goggin stated earlier this week that health policy should be determined by elected representatives and not by GPs “threatening to illegally engage in collective action, such as a mass withdrawal of services, if they don’t get their way”.
