TILDA study shows one in eight older adults vitamin D deficient

Researchers from The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) at Trinity College Dublin have shown for the first time vitamin D deficiency (<30 nmol/L) is common among adults over the age of 50 in Ireland. The research shows that there are wide variations in vitamin D deficiency across the different provinces of Ireland, and that these are dependent on lifestyle.
