TCD collaborates on groundbreaking MND study
Some 180 scientists from 17 different countries — including researchers from the Smurfit Institute of Genetics at Trinity College — have collaborated on groundbreaking research that has identified three previously unknown genes that shed light on the underlying causes of motor neurone disease (MND). It has also provided the best indication yet of how scientists should continue their search for the causes of the disease.
