Study confirms link between breastfeeding and decreased risk of endometrial cancer

Women who have breastfed at least one child have a reduced risk of developing endometrial cancer, new research has suggested. The study, which was led by researchers from the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane, Australia, is the largest and most comprehensive to be conducted on the link between breastfeeding and uterine cancer. The findings were published recently in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology.
