Emotionally unstable personality disorders

The term ‘personality’ refers to the enduring characteristics of an individual, as shown in their ways of behaving in a wide variety of circumstances. Personality can be thought of as being made up of more circumscribed characteristics known as traits, such as sociability, impulsivity, and aggressiveness. Personality disorders can be defined as enduring subjective experiences and behaviour that deviate from cultural standards, are rigidly pervasive, have an onset in adolescence or early adulthood, are stable through time and lead to unhappiness and impairment. {openx:269} h4.
