Experts in NEJM urge global sharing of cancer data

A group of experts — which includes lead author Prof Mark Lawler at the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology (CCRCB) at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) — has argued in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) that the ‘freeing of data’ for a disease that knows no borders would enable researchers to find better treatments that increase survival and improve quality of life for cancer patients.
