Revoking Bond’s licence to smoke

Daniel Craig’s James Bond may have given up smoking but his friends and lovers may live and let die where that habit is concerned. While previous research has looked into alcohol misuse and violent behaviour in the long-running franchise, there have been no studies on smoking in Bond. So researchers have analysed the 24 Bond films, from Dr No in 1964 right up to 2015’s Spectre, examining the smoking habits through the decades of the spy as well as those around him.
