Health Minister Mary Harney has in recent weeks secured a Government pledge to fund a new designated cancer centre north of the border, Irish Medical Times has learned. The Government has made a commitment to support and invest in a cancer centre at Derry’s Altnagelvin Hospital, which would serve the population of Donegal.
