The developers of a four-storey, 60-bed nursing home on the site of the Star Bingo Hall in Crumlin have been requested to submit a statement indicating that the proposed development is set out in accordance with the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards for nursing home developments.
Seven items of additional information in total are being sought by Dublin City Council from Nimbin Ltd, the company behind the scheme.

Requiring the demolition of the existing Star Bingo Hall, the development will consist of two buildings. Block A, ranging between two and four storeys, will contain three retail units at ground floor level, a multi-purpose hall at first floor level and a medical centre of 764 sqm on the second and third floors.
Block B will comprise a four-storey 2,990sqm nursing home containing 60 bedrooms. An underground car park is also included in the plans. An internal courtyard, entered from Kildare Road, will give pedestrian access to the home.
