Six project management staff let go at Beacon

Bookmark and Share

There have been six redundancies at Beacon Medical Group (BMG), which has signed project agreements for co-located hospitals at Limerick, Cork and Beaumont in Dublin. Planning permission for a maternity hospital in Dublin’s Sandyford has not been granted. Planning permission has been granted for Beaumont and it has been indicated that construction work would begin there this summer.
Further to a recent company cost review, BMG is consolidating resources and reducing overheads in line with current economic conditions, the Group said.

Resulting from this review, six redundancies in administrative roles in BMG head office were implemented. BMG‘s senior management team has agreed to pay reviews with all other staff unaffected by the move. BMG employs over 550 personnel across its facilities, which include Beacon Hospital, Beacon Renal, Beacon Medical Group Head Office, Beacon Dermatology, Beacon Consultants Clinic and support services.
