Amoxil Capsules 250mg & 500mg Discontinued

GlaxoSmithKline Ireland would like to inform you that Amoxil capsules 250mg and 500mg were discontinued on the Irish Market from 23rd January 2012. At present there are a number of reimbursable direct alternatives available on the Irish market including Pinamox and Clonamox. This discontinuation is not due to any safety or quality issues with Amoxil presentations, therefore pharmacists and patients may continue to dispense or use packs that they currently have.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to you or your patients. Please contact GlaxoSmithKline on (01) 4955000 should you have any further queries.
