Breakthrough research for female CF sufferers
Dr Sanjay Chotirmall, Respiratory Medicine SpR, Respiratory Research Division of RCSI/Beaumont Hospital, is the lead author of a paper published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, outlining how female sufferers of cystic fibrosis fare worse compared to male sufferers due to higher oestrogen levels.
