This Wednesday night, Australian Scientist Prof Jennifer Graves will speak at the RCSI about the decline of the male species.
Prof Graves’s talk is entitled, The Decline and Fall of the Male Y Chromosome and the Future of Men.
According to Prof Graves, evolution often delivers “dumb design,” which is illustrated by the disappearing human male Y chromosome, and there will be nothing left of it in a few million years.
In 2006 she won the Laureate of the L’Oreal-UNESCO Awards for Women in Science.
The event (Wednesday, May 20, 7PM) is open to the public and is free of charge. To reserve your place, please e-mail outreach@rcsi.ie, or log onto www.rcsi.ie for more information.
