St James’s signs co-location agreement

Synchrony Healthcare has signed an agreement with the HSE and St James’s which will see it build a new facility providing 195 in-patient beds, 72 outpatient beds and eight operating theatres. 

An application for planning permission will now be submitted.

A gene that makes people susceptible to placebo is discovered

Swedish scientists claim have discovered a gene that causes people with certain disorders to benefit more than others from placebos, it was reported in the Journal of Neuroscience.
